Summer Assistance

It is always a joy and privilege to help families in need. This summer we were able to help a family of 6 take their children to a national bible quizzing competition. These children worked hard to learn 276 scriptures and it showed when they came in at the top out of their entire state. Check out their story below: “I wanted to write this thank you note to Build A Village. My daughter and her bible quizzing team worked really hard this year. They learned 276 scriptures from the book of ACTS, as well as made it to Nationals in Missouri!!! I was so excited and still am that they made it to Nationals. However I have a family of 6 and was very concerned about how to travel with my children and keep them fed while away in Missouri for a week. My hubby has to either stay and work or take time off and keep the two youngest children. So it would either be me and 4 children or me and 2. Prayerfully I will only have to take two, but that is still up in the air. What is not up in the air at this point ...

BAV sends a student to camp

BAV is at it again, touching the life of a person in our community by sending a young man to camp for a week this summer. See this student's story below. "Yes, well. My name is J.F.. The reason why I couldn't pay for camp myself is because well my dad is on disability and only gets a certain amount per month on the 3rd of every month and after we pay bills and get stuff for my house we have zero dollars left. We don't even have a car right now and on top of that my dad has CML Leukemia. I would really like to go to youth camp this coming Monday. If you could help me out, all I can say is thanks." For more information regarding the camp, please be sure to visit www.vdym.org.   It is always a pleasure to touch a life.

“Women Embracing Each Other”, held on May 18, 2013 was a great success

BAV brought several beautiful ladies together as one uniform team. The companionship, friendship, love, agreement, relaxation and comfort with this group of women was built on trust, as they discussed their businesses, growth in their careers and new initiatives to move upward in their lives.  The ladies all had enjoyable time at the meeting, laughing and embracing each other.   We at BAV would like to thank each and every lady for attending the event; we appreciate your support and look forward to you attending other meetings in the future. BAV realize many other women were not able to attend the event due to other obligations, you were all missed.  We look forward to having our next event soon.   BAV wants to give a big thank you to our “CHEF” that prepared the food.  What a great meal!  We look forward to you and your team preparing more meals for our upcoming events.   In addition, BAV would like to thank our two “SPEAKERS” that gave the ladies some meaningful information to use in their personal and professional aspects of their lives.   ...
