Summer Assistance

It is always a joy and privilege to help families in need. This summer we were able to help a family of 6 take their children to a national bible quizzing competition. These children worked hard to learn 276 scriptures and it showed when they came in at the top out of their entire state. Check out their story below:

“I wanted to write this thank you note to Build A Village. My daughter and her bible quizzing team worked really hard this year. They learned 276 scriptures from the book of ACTS, as well as made it to Nationals in Missouri!!! I was so excited and still am that they made it to Nationals. However I have a family of 6 and was very concerned about how to travel with my children and keep them fed while away in Missouri for a week. My hubby has to either stay and work or take time off and keep the two youngest children. So it would either be me and 4 children or me and 2. Prayerfully I will only have to take two, but that is still up in the air. What is not up in the air at this point is whether or not we will go. I have been praying and very concerned as to how it would work. My husband and I prayed together asking the Lord to make a way. I also asked for prayer by a leader at church who has been a true blessing to me and a friend as well as my wonderful pastor. He brainstormed some ideas and reassured e, which gave me great comfort! I then went to work on his ideas. In the meantime, I shared my dilemma about not knowing how we would eat with a friend and asked her for prayer. What happened next was nothing short of a miracle!!! She texted me a short while later, and told me she had a friend who worked with a non-profit organization that helped needy families to send their children to camp. She said they usually can find a recipient, but hadn’t been able to this time. She told me she felt the Lord was saving this for us. She told me the lady agreed to give us $300 to help with our costs at nationals!!! I’m so grateful to this organization!!! God is still in the miracle making business!!! Now I only have to raise half of the money that I thought I would need to raise!!! God is so good!!! He’s worthy of all glory and honor!!! Thank you for this organization and all that made this possible for us.” – Mrs. Williams
